Cambridge Audio Azur 540R

$799.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Plays DVDs and CDs promptly, no loading delay. Front panel design looks clean, has a look of a piece of "professional" equipment. Dolby audio decoding is excellent, doesn't lose any of the detail.

The Cons:Button labels are hard to read unless you're right up to it. Music rendering is "hard" and forward sounding, tends to lose a lot of warmth. Blue LED lighting has a green tint to it, ruins the effect somewhat.

The Cambridge Audio Azur 540R is a 6.1-channel, home cinema A/V receiver featuring an on-board CS493263 multi-channel DAC capable of decoding Dolby Digital Surround 6.1 EX and DTS ES 6.1, as well as processing Dolby Digital, DTS 5.1, Dolby Pro-Logic, and Pro-Logic II.
