The Cons:No upscaling of HDMI sources. Only 2 digital optical and 2 digital coaxial inputs. No phono input.

The Denon AVR-1909 is a 7.1 channel a/v receiver released in July 2008 for $649. It is part of the new 2008/09 lineup of Denon receivers. It is in the upper-middle of the lineup, and is the least expensive receiver in the lineup to feature 1080p upscaling and high-definition audio decoding.
