The Harman/Kardon AVR247 is an entry-level A/V receiver with HD capabilities, and is the most basic Harman/Kardon model that includes video upscaling, to 720p, as well as full 1080p HD capabilities.

It has 7 channels, each with a power output of 50W. There are It also has an AM/FM radio tuner with presets, and XM radio compatibility as well. It is compatible with Dolby Digital, Dolby DTS ES and Dolby Prologic Ix, as well as Logic 7. The AVR247 has numerous A/V in and outputs, including 2 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output and coaxial and optical audio in and out. Its audio processing capabilities include a 24-bit DAC and 192kHz sampling rate. It is designed for home theatre use.
