Marantz SR4023 CI

$500.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Clean, clear bass without boom or distortion. Mids and treble are lifelike, not to bright or shrill. More power than most people will ever use.

The Cons:Some noise is detectable in the radio tuner.

The Marantz SR4023 CI is a 2.1-channel, stereo A/V receiver engineered to function as the centerpiece to a high-powered home theater system. Inside it is a large EI core transformer with an oversized capacitor bank, both compromising a “rock-solid foundation” that powers all the internal circuitry.

In fact, the integrated amp delivers 80W per channel (160W total). Keep in mind, however, that the device hosts a pre-amp out / main-amp in jack for easy hookup with a much more powerful external amplifier unit. Additional features of the Marantz SR4023 CI include screw-type connectors for secure speaker(s) hookup, composite video switching, and an RS-232 bi-directional communications port for using an advanced touch-screen control system.
