The Pros:Rich and warm sound, envelops the listener. Excellent clarity and detailing, brings out the subtle details well. Relatively easy to use once set up.

As an upgrade from the SC-25, it hosts a professional-grade Burr-Brown Sampling Rate Converter that effectively scales all analog/digital signals to 192kHz/24-Bit resolution. Note also the Elite SC-27 functions not only as a 1080p upconverter, but it also handles all HDMI signals (including 48-Bit Deep Color x.v.) AND includes network & USB connectivity, allowing it to receive signals from iPods, iPhones, SIRIUS/XM Satellite Radio, and of course, a PC. Added to that it’s multi-zone ability and it is without a doubt one of the most sophisticated A/V receivers available on the market.
