The Sherwood R-904N NetBoxx is a compact, 7.1-channel A/V receiver and Internet media portal designed for playback of both physical disc media and Internet/streaming media. Its signature technology is VuNow (licensed from Verisoma Networks), which allows broadband users to surf the Internet via the unit’s remote control and download and/or stream content from PlayOn — including Hulu, Netflex, CBS, CNN, ESPN, Amazon, etc.

It utilizes a 32-bit digital audio processor, all major A/V codecs & decoders (including Dolby Digital and DTS 96/24), a 24-bit D/A converter, and a digital media processor to output 720p/60 video with precision and enriched details. Pivotal too the R-904N NetBoxx is its easy user-interface, which allows — after a user has connected speakers, television, and the Internet — a user to automatically setup the system via an Auto Setup Mode.
