Sony STR-DH520

$229.99 Released March, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Offers excellent sound quality right out of the box with any decent set of speakers. Bravia Sync allows you to control other Sony devices with the same remote as your receiver. Very well-priced for a 7.1-channel receiver with 3D pass through.

The Cons:Lack of USB and auxiliary ports entirely limits audio playback from external devices. Doesn't offer any direct iPod/iPhone interfacing.

The Sony STR-DH520 is a budget friendly 7.1 channel A/V receiver that supports 100 watts per channel. It doesn’t offer a USB port, iPod/iPhone functionality, or composite ports, but it does support 3D content from movies and games.
