The Yamaha HTR-6180 (aka Yamaha RX-863) is a 7.2 channel a/v receiver supporting video upconversion up to 1080p and HD audio decoding. It has similar specifications to the Yamaha HTR-6160 (aka Yamaha RX-663) but has 3 HDMI inputs instead of 2, and is a rated for 105 Watts / channel as compared to 95 Watts / channel.

However, the most significant difference between the 6180 and 6160 is that the 6180 upscales video sources to up to 1080p, whereas the 6160 merely transcodes the video sources to HDMI and component. The Yamaha HTR-6180 has an MSRP of $999.95.
