Yamaha RX-V461

Released February, 2007
The Pros:Strong enough output to fill most rooms in the home withsound. Lots of interesting presets to shape the sound for different effects. Very energetic, lively attack on the audio.
The Cons:Setup is tricky especially for entry-level users. Seems a bit too bright to some, not enough bass boost to balance it out. No HDMI inputs or outputs at all.
